Methane: Earth's New Destroyer

Global warming looks like it may have a new player in town: millions of tonnes of Methane locked in the Arctic seabed. As the Arctic melts away, the threat of the stored methane leaking into the atmosphere is real and many times more threatening than CO2. But is the outlook as bleak as some would have us believe or can we harvest the gas as an alternative fuel and help prevent the risk of an accelerated warming process?
