Tell Me Why - an anti-war song

Dead Remembered, Living Ignored

John Perry takes Dogonaut for a walk through his world

Radio professional, music lover, truth seeker, unyielding defender of the Constitution of the United States of America.

I started paying closer attention to life inside the Beltway several years ago, when it became obvious that my "representatives" were not interested in helping independent webcasters, who to this day remain under attack and faced with extinction, thanks to the nefarious efforts of the RIAA to maximize consolidation of Internet music distribution. I had been attempting to launch my own Internet radio business at the time, and I remain hopeful that someday it may still happen.

The experience has made me a more responsible citizen, and for that, at least, I am grateful. One of my favorite lines is "They pissed off the wrong guy." I promise to remain vigilant, holding accountable as best I can those who promise to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Far too many of the people we send to Washington don't take their oath seriously. It's our responsibility as citizens to let them know we're paying attention, and we're not going away.

So, here are some websites I find particularly interesting...

The Fox Online

This is where I do my day job. I host a "most music in the morning" classic rock radio show, which you can listen to live on weekday mornings from 6am-10am eastern U.S. time. The studios are about an hour north of New York City.

The Real News

real news

I believe this is truly the future of news. The Real News does an amazing job, featuring journalists from all over the world, telling the real stories. They accept no advertising, and they take no government or corporate funding, so they are beholden to no special interests. They rely completely on viewer donations for their continued operation. This is a site that I recommend highly!

After Downing Street

This is the homepage in my browser. After Downing Street was launched in May of 2005, after the release of the Downing Street Memos, which prove that the Bush administration was manipulating the intelligence to support their desire to invade Iraq. This is another excellent source of information, constantly updated with original posts, videos, and articles from all over the world. They also have extensive research resources.

Information Clearing House

Another excellent source of information, constantly updated with articles and opinion pieces from all over. One of the stops I make every day while I'm online.

Joe Grushecky

CrackingUnderPressure-AlbumCover

Joe is a friend from my Pittsburgh days. His music has inspired me greatly over the years. I recently did a cover of his song "Never Be Enough Time," which I posted on my YouTube Channel. He and his band the Houserockers have a great following in Europe, as well as here at home in the states. Joe has known Bruce Springsteen for more than 20 years and they have worked together quite a bit. He co-wrote a song with Bruce called "Code of Silence," that won a male rock vocal Grammy for Bruce a few years back...
