Retrocrush

Editor of the "world's greatest pop culture site" -retroCRUSH - Robert Berry takes Dogonaut for a walk through some of his favourite corners of the web...

1. The Sneeze

the sneeze

Steve is one of the funniest bloggers out there, his self-depreciating humor is fantastic and far out conversations with his son that he shares are some of the most entertaining things you can read on the internet.

2.  Cockeyed

cockeyed

A bit of Mythbusters mixed with a kinder version of Jackass. Sacramento's own Rob Cockerham has been putting out great content nearly every week on his site for a decade now. Genius pranks, crazy experiments, and just great fun.

3. Something Awful

something

Updated a near daily rate, Something Awful is the big underappreciated crossroads of adult humor that doesn't insult your intelligence. You could lose yourself for days reading the archives, and the forums are the best message board community out there.

4.  Mystery Island

bone2008

Bradley Mason Hamlin has long been a great friend and drinking buddy, and this site is a great labor of love of pop culture goodness. While retroCRUSH specializes in forgotten retro celebrities of movies and TV, Mystery Island has carved quite a niche featuring long lost music talent from the world of punk, surf music, and more.

5.  Suicide Food

suicide

This site's a recent find that I find myself coming back to far too often. Who'd have thought a blog featuring animals in advertising that like eating other animals could be so great?

6.  Johnny Ryan

johnny ryan

The greatest young American cartoonist out there. You can read weekly new comics that are generally pretty laugh out loud for real.

7.  Comics Make No Sense

comics

Just a fun daily assortment of bizarre comic book panels from history. It's the best place to find pictures of Aquama squirting milk into Aqualad's face to keep from dying.

8.  The World of Mr.Toast

mr toast

Just a gorgeously simple cute website that delivers great new artwork and comics every week.

9.  Original Games

original games

I'll spend hours playing silly games that seem like they're aimed at 3 year old kids, but have a beauty and grace to them that make them enjoyable by folks of any age.
